Bioline Agrosciences Project
A recent example of a bespoke project of ours was when we did a custom-build for Bioline Agrosciences. Bioline are experts in Biocontrol and produce a wide range of invertebrate biological control organisms to help growers control insect pests in crops, and for this they required something slightly different than your standard glasshouse set-up.
We built polythene cages inside the glasshouse with an enhanced temperature control installation, as each cage required a different climate, tailored to the organisms within. We installed the polythene and netting using a click profile secured to the steel frame and composite panel to allow for easy and straightforward replacement in the future. We also added two 9.5-meter rails in the ceiling of each cage to hang grow lights and added air circulation fans surrounded by a seal of polythene cladding to the steel frame of the glasshouse. We also fitted one air circulation fan per cage in the wall of the glasshouse to bring external air into the cage.
We thoroughly enjoyed this project as it was different from the day-to-day, and we’re always on the lookout for the next challenge.
